Press Release - Old Plank Trail Community Bank Raises over $12,000 at "Bowl for Kids' Sake" Event

New Lenox, IL – March 29, 2013

On Saturday, March 23, 2013, Old Plank Trail Community Bank held a “Bowl for Kids Sake” event at Laraway Lanes to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters program of Will-Grundy Counties.  

Old Plank Trail Community Bank presented a check for $1,000 and the rest of the money was gathered from the various bowling teams. Altogether, the event raised over $12,000 for the organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs up adult volunteers 18 & older  ("Bigs") with children ages 6-18 ("Littles"), in communities throughout Will County, Grundy County, Kankakee County, and Iroquois County in Illinois. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. The support of this event means that more Bigs and Littles will be matched up and more lives will be impacted.
