It’s the summer of 1959 in sunny California, when rebel Danny Zuko and Australian good girl Sandy Dumbrowski fall in love at the beach. When summer ends, they say their goodbyes and think they’ll never see each other again, but plans change when Sandy’s parents decide to stay in California. School resumes and to their surprise, both Danny and Sandy are attending Rydell High. Danny, the leader of the T-Birds, a group of black leather-jacket greasers treats Sandy differently in front of his pals. The Pink Ladies, a group of pink-wearing gals led by Rizzo, befriend Sandy and try to make her more like Danny so they can be together.
