Real Life "Mr and Mrs" play Mr and Mrs Sowerberry in upcoming production of Oliver!!

Married couple Steven and Sue Snyder make art imitate life in their upcoming roles as Mr and Mrs Sowerberry in Curtain Call's production of Oliver! at Lincolnway East High School Jan 4, 5, and 6th.

On stage chemistry is an important part of any musical theatre production, but Steven and Sue Snyder have an added advantage with their roles in Curtain Call Community Theatre's upcoming production of Oliver!, which opens January 4th at Lincolnway East High School in Frankfort. The Snyders, of New Lenox, are playing the parts of undertakers Mr and Mrs Sowerberry. The couple, who purchase young Oliver from an 1860s orphanage to help run their undertaker business, have a song together: "That's Your Funeral" and serve as comic relief from the darker side of Oliver Twist's life in Dickensian England. Being married in real life made the roles more accessible, and also made it easier to rehearse.  Like the Sowerberrys, the Snyders have been working together for quite some time.  To hear them on the stage together, purchase tickets to Oliver! online at www.ccctheatre.com or call the box office at 708 699-2228.  Oliver! runs through Jan 6th.
