Bulldog Ale House Open for Business in New Lenox
The new bar features 72 beers on tap. Find out more about the newest business in Bluestone Commons.
Bulldog Ale House owner Paul Marrin feels like a celebrity.
While running errands in New Lenox, everybody seems to know his name. The Bulldog Ale House shirt gives him away.
"We chose New Lenox because it's a lot like our other towns, Roselle and Carol Stream," Marrin said, of the bar's other locations. "It's a strong community. Everybody's been telling us it's what the town has been looking for.
The upscale, family friendly sports bar opened April 11 at 2387 Joliet Highway in Bluestone Commons, in space previously occupied by Bluestone Bar and Grill, most recently by Prime Time Restaurant. Marrin calls the new setting "homey, but industrial'—lots of wood with metal accents. Walls have been knocked down to create a more open floor plan, he added.
The bar boasts 72 beers on tap—all of which are $2 on Thursdays—and the food menu includes items such as cajun chicken pasta, fajitas, macaroni and cheese, and ribs. Friday's specials include $9.99 all-you-can-eat fish fry; Saturday's special features a $6.99 Build Your Own Burger.
The bar is open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. For more specials and other information, visit the Bulldog Ale House website.
