Burglars Break In Through Basement of New Lenox House

A New Lenox home was burglarized last week.

Prowlers hit a house on Lahard Road, police said, gaining entry through a basement window.

Police learned of the break-in shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday.

An “officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of LaHard reference a complaint of burglary,” police said. “The complainant advised that an unknown person forced entry to her home through a basement window and took an unknown amount of personal belongings.”

Detectives were working to track down the housebreakers.
