Business in Brief: House of Hughes' Future Uncertain
The restaurant's Crestwood location recently closed, and the owner is looking to sell the New Lenox spot.

House of Hughes' sister location in Crestwood closed about a week ago, leaving the New Lenox restaurant's future in limbo.
For the time being, the restaurant will go under the name "The Station House," and it has been opening later in the afternoon than at 11 a.m. The business will remain open until 1 a.m. daily, employees said. But they aren't sure what will happen with the location, because the owner is looking for buyers.
"For quite some time the owner has been looking to sell that place," Mayor Tim Baldermann said.

The owner could not be reached for comment, and the website has been removed. Before it was taken down, the owner left this messag to patrons:
"Thank you to all for making our last weekend memorable. We have all laughed, cried and cherished everyone's stories and memories along with our own. We are glad we have been able to share in so many peoples lives as they have shared in ours. As this chapter closes we are blessed to know so many wonderful people and take with us a larger family because of it!"
