Village of New Lenox Independence Day Celebration 2026

The Village of New Lenox 2026 Independence Day Celebration will bring even more fun and entertainment to the Village Commons as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik will lead into an incomparable fireworks display, and attendees will find patriotic tributes throughout the venue as we honor those who fought for our freedom. 

6:00-7:00 pm: Joliet American Legion Band

The Joliet American Legion Band will kick off the evening with a patriotic performance from the New Lenox Performing Arts Pavilion.

8:00-9:20 pm: The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik

Enjoy a FREE rock show courtesy of The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik.

9:20 pm: Fireworks

Watch as this year's dazzling display lights up the night sky. 

Veterans Tribute Signs

Commemorative signs featuring our hometown heroes will be located throughout the Commons on this special day, each offering a photo and words of wisdom from a local veteran who fought for our country. 

Community Art Project

Together with local artists, the Village is preparing a community art project that will be unveiled at this year's Independence Day Celebration.
