Canadian Gets 6 Years For Possessing Cocaine in Will County
The state cops caught the Canadian on I-355 in Homer Glen.

A Canadian man caught with a duffle bag full of cocaine while he was driving on Interstate 355 was sentenced to six years in prison.
Sylvain Bergeron, 44, of Ogden, Canada, was sentenced after pleading guilty Thursday.
The state police pulled Bergeron over for traffic violations in January 2014 as he was driving on the tollway in Homer Glen.

“A canine unit was deployed and detected the scent of illegal narcotics,” according to a statement released by the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office. “A search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of cocaine in a red duffle bag in the back seat.”
Six years was the minimum sentence Bergeron could have received for the class X felony.
