CCC (the Cool Christian Club)
Members: children in grades 3-6
Meetings: 6-7:30 p.m.; First and Third Wednesdays of each month starting
September 3rd
(Majestic Bells students don’t worry…it’s been worked out.)
Format: 90 minutes
1. Large Group Opening Session: Devotion/Bible Story, Discussion,
Prayer; approximately 15 minutes
2. Small Group Session 1: self-selected; possible topics: Art of the
Bible, Science of the Bible, Geography of the Holy Lands, Food of
the Bible, Heros, Antibullying, etc.; approximately 20 minutes
3. Small Group Session 2: self-selected groups; different topic from
list above; approximately 20 minutes
4. Team-building Game: 10 minutes
5. Snack: 10 minutes
6. Large Group Closing Session: Wrap-up tying activities to story,
lessons learned discussion, song, prayer; approx. 15 minutes
Staffing: Volunteers needed to lead the small group sessions and supervise
during the large group activities & snack. Let Lauren know at
Dr.Rentfro@gmail.com. The success of the program relies on volunteers!
Curriculum: the basic curriculum is being purchased from Cokesbury, but all
activities are being revised to fit our children and program. Volunteers will meet
periodically to receive and discuss the activities.
Budget: We’ve requested a Faith budget from the Finance Committee, but
donations of supplies & snacks are greatly appreciated.
