Chamber Collects Over 90 Toys for the New Lenox Food Pantry

The collection was part of the chamber's annual holiday celebration.

On Tuesday, December 9 the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Holiday Celebration at Village Hall. Over 100 Chamber Members gathered to celebrate the holiday season. As a way to give back to the community, attendees were asked to bring a donation for the “Jingle All the Way Toy Drive” to benefit children throughout New Lenox. Approximately 95 toys were collected at the event.

Again this year, the Chamber partnered with the New Lenox Township to provide toys to children of the families registered to receive assistance through the Township Food Pantry. Parents are provided the opportunity to select gifts suitable for their children from the items donated.

“Our Chamber Members truly embody the giving spirit that is so strong in New Lenox. The Holiday Party Committee and I were blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness of the toys donated this year. We hope they bring joy and smiles to the children of New Lenox on Christmas morning!” shared Chamber CEO, Emily Johnson.
