Christmas In The Commons: Holiday Market, Ice Skating

NEW LENOX, IL — Christmas in the Commons will return for another year of festive fun in New Lenox. The holiday event takes place every weekend in December and offers entertainment, ice skating, a holiday market, horse-drawn wagon rides and more.

The schedule for Christmas in the Commons is:

Nov. 30

• 4 to 8 p.m.
• Official lighting ceremony, free popcorn, free cookies, children's coloring contest and food trucks from Auntie Anne's and Smokin' Z BBQ

Dec. 1

• 4 to 8 p.m.
• Stuff animal workshop, Lincoln-Way area Chorale performance, Lamplight Singers performance, visits with Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and food trucks from Smokin' Z BBQ and Twisted Classics

Dec. 7

• 4 to 8 p.m.
• Craft beer from local breweries, trackless train rides, visits with Mickey, Minnie and Olaf (from Frozen), and food trucks from Life's A Slice and Lil' Deb's

Dec. 8

• Trinity Services 'A Frozen Christmas' from 2 to 6 p.m.
• 4 to 8 p.m.
• Lincoln-Way West Madrigal Singers performance, Lamplight Singers performance, visits with Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Tinkerbell, children's craft and food trucks from Creme of the Crop and Lil' Deb's

Dec. 14

• 4 to 8 p.m.
• Craft beer from local breweries, children's craft, visit with the Grinch, ice carving demonstration, food trucks from Auntie Anne's, Cupcakes for Courage, Life's A Slice and Smokin' Z BBQ

Dec. 15

• 4 to 8 p.m.
• Holiday sweets and treats sale, gingerbread cookie decorating, Lamplight Singers performance and food trucks from Creme of the Crop, Cupcakes for Courage and Life's A Slice
