Christmas with the Historical Society

Do you “like” the New Lenox Area Historical Society – Schmuhl School One-Room Schoolhouse on Facebook yet? With the holidays quickly approaching, the historical society has been featuring their Christmas ornaments of New Lenox on their Facebook page until December 10. If you want to see these ornaments up close, they are on display at the New Lenox Village Hall and the New Lenox Library. The 2016 ornament features the Francis One-Room Schoolhouse. These ornaments make fabulous gifts of memories of New Lenox! Limited Edition and Landmark Series ornaments can be purchased for $15 and the New Lenox Schools ornaments for $10. Ornaments can be purchased and picked up at the office at 205 W. Maple St. (Rt. 30) during office hours or at the Schmuhl School Open House on December 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Message NLAHS on Facebook or call the office at 815-485-5576 to schedule a pick-up time.
