Come Try It and See Piano Class
Some parents are afraid that their child might be too young. Some are worried that they "might not like it". Some are afraid of the cost.

When parents of a young child who seems interested in music call or come to The Music Connection wanting to start music lessons some ask: “Couldn’t we just “try it and see”?
Some parents are afraid that their child might be too young. Some are worried that they “might not like it”. Some are afraid of the cost of lessons or “what if my child doesn’t have talent?”
“These three classes offer an opportunity for parents and children to “test the waters”, said Music Connection director Janet Kuester. “ After taking the class, many sign up for lessons. Some parents discover that nurturing their child’s interest in music and waiting 6 months to a year before starting would be a better choice.”

Try It and See is designed primarily for 3 ½-8 year old children and their parents. It is for children who have not yet experienced playing a musical instrument.
“Children are often curious and excited about learning to play music.” “Lots of times we find that teaching the child some little “songs” within a brief 3 week time frame really gives them a feeling of accomplishment and that both they and their parents want to continue to find those feelings of joy and accomplishment through continued private or group music lessons.” Said Janet Kuester, director.

“The first experiences a child has with music are so important:, she continued. “If children are finding happiness, a feeling of accomplishment, and time with their parents enjoying and sharing, that serves to motivate everyone to play the music in their hearts and to nurture and develop their music ability.”
