Crooks Steal From 2 Unlocked Cars Parked in New Lenox

A crook—or crooks—rifled through two unlocked cars parked in New Lenox early Tuesday morning.

One car was hit about 2:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Boeing Drive. The car owner told an officer someone "entered his unlocked vehicle and took change," police said.

A little more than two hours later, the owner of a car parked in the 400 block of Otto Drive told police an "unknown person removed change and prescription medicine from his unlocked car."

The cases were sent to New Lenox police detectives for review.
