Dogs Invited To Splash Pad Event Before Closing For The Year

NEW LENOX, IL — Since the Walker Park Splash Pad is set to close Aug. 30 for the season, the park district is holding a Dog Days of Summer event to let the dogs enjoy the splash pad too.

You can bring your dog to the splash pad at Walker Country Estates Park on Aug. 30 for the event. You must register by Aug. 26 and it is $3 for residents.

Small dogs under 40 pounds can come to the splash pad from 6:15 to 7 p.m., and large dogs over 40 pounds can come from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Dogs must be friendly around other dogs.

The park district has also reopened the splash pad at Hibernia Park due to the warm weather this week. The splash pad will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
