Drunk Driver Busted At McDonald's: Police Blotter
Some of last week's criminal activity in New Lenox might leave you surprised.

NEW LENOX, IL - Here is your look at what crimes were being committed in your subdivisions and at your local businesses over the past week. The following information was provided to Patch by the New Lenox Police Department. The information has been edited.
APRIL 2
An officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of Brett Drive in reference to a theft. The complainant, advised that someone entered the construction site where a new house is being built and stole $150 worth of materials.

An officer was dispatched to ReClaim Fitness in the 1300 block of East Lincoln Highway for a motor vehicle burglary. "The two complainants advised someone entered their unlocked gym lockers, stole their car keys, entered their cars and stole their wallets. The keys and wallets were later found in the parking lot."
An officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of Molly Court in reference to a criminal damage to property complaint. "Someone drove across their grass during the night causing damage."

APRIL 3
An officer was dispatched to Heartland Cardiovascular Center in the 1800 block of Silver Cross Boulevard for a theft. Someone "stole money from a locked cabinet in the office."
An officer was dispatched to the NLPD in reference to a burglary in the 800 block of Stonegate Road. Someone "entered their vehicle while it was parked in their driveway overnight and stole prescription medication."
APRIL 5
An officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near Nelson Road and Andrea Drive at 11:20 p.m. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Phillip L. Jones, 28, of South Holland. The officer learned that the driver, Jones, was under the influence of alcohol. Jones posted bond and was released.
At 11:43 p.m., an officer was sent to the McDonald's in the 600 block of West Lincoln Highway in reference to an intoxicated driver. The officer was dispatched to McDonald’s in reference to an intoxicated driver. The officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Nicholas Fry, 38, of the 800 block of South Pine Street in New Lenox. The officer learned that the driver, Fry, was under the influence of alcohol. Fry posted bond and was released.
APRIL 6
An officer was dispatched concerning a theft complaint in the 2200 block of Jackson Branch. "The complainant advised someone stole a handgun from their residence."
An officer fielded an identity theft complaint from the 700 block of Bishop's Gate. "The complainant advised that they drive for Uber. The complainant received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Uber and provided the caller with their personal information. A short time later, the complainant noticed that money was fraudulently transferred from their Uber account into another bank account."
