April 13

  • Corey Benson, 19, of Joliet, was charged with domestic battery at 3:10 p.m. at Maple and Gougar roads.

  • Joseph Romer, 49, of the 1700 block of Nelson Road, was charged with DUI-alcohol at 3:34 a.m. at Spencer and Nelson roads.

April 18

  • A package was stolen from a mail room of an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Shagbark Court.

  • Louis Manzella, 29, of the 400 block of Manor Court, was charged with driving while license suspended at 8:10 p.m. at Haven Avenue and Nelson Road.

April 20

  • Kevin Kwiecinski, 31, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition and no valid FOID at 1:16 a.m. at Lincoln Highway and Prairie Road. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an equipment violation, reports state. The officer saw shotgun shells inside a cup holder in the center console and an uncased shotgun in the back seat of the car. The items belonged to Kwiecinski, who had a revoked FOID card.
