The New Lenox Chamber is pleased to announce our 3rd Annual Mind Over Miles 8K and 1 Mile Run/Walk presented in partnership with Provena Saint Joseph Medical
Center and The Women’s Center. This event for adults and children supports the Chamber’s annual scholarship awards, and will take place at Lincoln-Way West High School, Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 8:00 a.m.
Participants may choose to participate in the 8K USATF Certified Run starting in Lincoln-WayWest’s parking lot, heading out through nearby residential areas before
returning to Lincoln-Way West to finish on the football field. Walking iswelcome on the 8K course, but participants need to be aware that the course will reopen to traffic by 9:00 a.m. The event also features a 1Mile Fun Run/Walk and participants have the option to do both. The 8K steps off at 8:00a.m., followed roughly at 9:00 a.m. by the start of the 1 Mile run/walk.
Registration is open now through www.active.com. The 8K entry fee is $30 per person ($35 on race day). Participants age14 and under are free and do not need to pre-register. However, only paid participants will receive a shirt and goodie bag.
