The REEL Men of New Life Church are sponsoring their 3rd annual Children’s Fishing Outing on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Nelson Prairie/Nelson Ridge Schools on Nelson Road in New Lenox (1/2 mile south of Laraway Road).
Area children are invited to attend with a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian accompanying the child at the outing must have a current 2011 Illinois fishing license in order to participate.
Extra poles and bait will be available for children who need them. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. with fishing starting at 10 a.m. and finishing about 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to both boys and girl in these categories: 6 and under, 7-10 and 11+. Lunch will be served after fishing and awards.
