If you have ever attended Bentley School, you have had Dave Ulstad as a teacher. Mr. Ulstad has been the PE teacher there for 36 years! At the end of this school year, Mr. Ulstad will retire from teaching. There will be a retirement party for him on Friday, May 11th from 4-6 pm at Charleston’s Bar and Grill in New Lenox. Mr. Ulstad has served our community as more than just a teacher. Many students fondly remember their time with him as their wrestling or volleyball coach. Mr. Ulstad also teaches Drivers’ Education, so many students who did not attend Bentley may have worked with him at Lincoln-Way. The committee organizing Mr. Ulstad’s party is asking that any community members who have photos to include on a keepsake DVD for him to please send them to Jen Ruhl at Bentley.
