Providence Children's Academy Open House

The Providence Catholic Children's Academy welcomes all interested families to attend their Open House and Registration for the 2011-2012 school year on Sunday, Jan. 30.

Providence Catholic Children's Academy emphasizes spiritual, academic, social, physical and creative development in young children. The nurturing environment encourages children to develop a positive self-concept, while allowing them to grow on several levels.

Providence Catholic Children's Academy is pleased to announce new programs for children who have missed the Sept. 1 age requirement to attend preschool. The school currently has openings for Kindergarten, Prekindergarten, Preschool, their new Little Learners Class and Toddler classes.

Toddler Time is an activity group for parents and their children 24 months through 36 months of age. Carefully designed by an early childhood specialist, this class uses fun, engaging activities to stimulate the child's developmental skills. The 10-week class will meet for one hour on Monday mornings. The second session begins Monday, Jan. 31 and ends April 18.

Little Learners Class is held once a week for children who are between the ages of 29 months and 36 months, who are not enrolled in preschool.  The class meets on Wednesday afternoons (noon to 1:45 p.m.) and is taught by a PCCA preschool teacher who possesses a Bachelor's degree.

Preschool is open to 3-year-old children and offers a variety of three-day and two-day options.  Prekindergarten is offered to four-year-old children Monday through Friday with 4- or 5-day options. Both preschool and prekindergarten have a morning or afternoon option. Kindergarten is available to five-year-old children Monday through Friday with a full or half day option.
