
Lincoln-Way West Poms will host TeamDance Illinois Invitational on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The contest will also serve as the SouthWest Suburban and East Suburban Catholic Conference Championship Site.
The large event is expecting 47 participating teams representing 33 schools including all four Lincoln-Way District 210 Pom Squads.
“We are expecting over 2,000 spectators and participants. This is the second year that Lincoln-Way West has hosted this competition,” stated Melissa Sweeney, Mathematics teacher, Dean and varsity Pom coach for West.

Performances will take place in the gymnasium at Lincoln-Way West in the categories of Pom, Open Pom, Hip Hop, Kick, Open Dance, and Lyrical. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students with ID.
“We are really excited and honored to offer the Lincoln-Way West Invitational again this year. It is a great opportunity to showcase the talent in our community, and the excellent dance teams throughout the state of Illinois,” noted Melissa Sweeney.

West Varsity Poms include: Angela Bieser, Jessica Blatzer, Allison Buldak, Jodi Diaz, Danielle Enders, Taylor Gallagher, Tary Hollingsworth, Erin Lavelle, Lexie Lucia, Natalie Malinowski, Kailyn O’Connor, Kathleen O’Keefe, Alexus Petrongelli, Nikki Revak, Abby Richmond, Megan Smith, Ginette Soper, Amy Stoeckley, Nicole Vander Wall, and Moira Ziebart.
