Open for women and girls ages 12 and up, Fortess Defense Consultants (out of Crete) is putting on a self-defense class in New Lenox. Fortress believes that all women should learn strategies and techniques to give them an advantage during a violent attack. This is a non-firearms approach to self-defense and will focus on awareness, disarming techniques, improvising weapons, what to do in situations of stalking, and much more.
