Fall Prevention Seminar For Seniors At New Lenox VFW

The free event is scheduled to take place Sept. 23 at the New Lenox VFW Post 9545

NEW LENOX, IL — Seniors are invited to attend a free event that will offer health screenings and information for local experts on how to prevent falls. The event, called One Fall Could Change It All, is being sponsored by the New Lenox Safe Community Coalition and its Older Adults Falls Prevention Task Group, with the support of New Lenox VFW Post 9545.

The event is scheduled from 8:30-11 a.m. Sept. 23 at the New Lenox VFW Post 9545, 323 Old Hickory Road in New Lenox.

There will be about 20 organizations participating in the event, according to a news release from the Village, that will offer free health screenings and information for seniors. There will also be a free breakfast for seniors, entertainment by New Lenox Cloggin' Craze, a tai chi demonstration and free raffle prizes throughout the event.

A panel of fall prevention specialists is scheduled to give a presentation at 10:30 a.m.
