Football Rewind: Warriors Win, Central Stumbles

Joliet West 31, 19: The Knights dropped to 1-5 on the season and remains winless in conference play. Sun-Times Media reported that Central back Brett Ditchman ran 35 times for 201 yards, but it wasn't enough.

19, Thornton 6: The Warriors (4-2, 3-1 in conference) got a big homecoming victory against previous conference leader Thornton (4-2, 3-1). According to Sun-Times Media, West opened up a 14-0 lead in the first half, and the defense forced a safety late in the game to close it out.

Brother Rice 38, 31 (2OT): The Celtics (3-3) scored 14 points in the final seven minutes of regulation to force overtime, but were picked off to end the game in a Catholic League thriller. We were at the game, which you can read more about here: .
