Frankfort Chiropractor Going to Work at Olympic Training Center

A Frankfort chiropractor has received confirmation from the United States Olympic Committee that he has been chosen to assist Team USA as a volunteer chiropractor at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center from Jan. 6 to 21.

Dr. J. Aaron Wolfe will embark on his second tour of working with the Olympic athletes as he also served at the training center in 2005.

To be selected for the honor, Wolfe was required to provide meticulous professional credentials and licensing, as well as clearance through the Olympic Training Center’s mandatory background checks.

“I’m excited to be part of the sports medicine team treating the world’s greatest athletes as they train to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Wolfe said.”

As chiropractor at the Olympic Training Center Sports Medicine Clinic, Wolfe will be assigned a team and attend practices to provide chiropractic services for the athletes. The volunteer and full time staff members at the training center work together in providing integrative, collaborative, multi-disciplinary care to the athletes and must be prepared to handle a variety of health situations.

Wolfe has been the sports medicine advisor for Lincoln-Way High School District 210 since 2007 and was the team doctor for Lincoln-Way East High School from 2000 to 2007. He has owned Sports & Spine Chiropractic in Frankfort since 1995 and was also the owner of Planet Chiropractic Lincoln Park in West Dundee and Hoffman Estates.

Wolfe earned a doctor of chiropractic degree and a bachelor of science degree in human biology from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard. He also holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology, minor in pre-medicine, from the University of Maryland. He is also certified as a CrossFit Level 1 instructor.

Wolfe has a history of treating professional and elite athletes, including serving as team chiropractor for the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer since 1998, the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Team’s Chicago Tour and the Joliet Slammers of Frontier League Professional Baseball.

Wolfe was the co-founder of the Lincoln-Way Area Lacrosse League. He also had the experience of volunteering as a chiropractor at the Ground Zero Rescue Area in New York, providing care to the rescue workers following the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.

Past affiliations include serving as chiropractor for USA Women’s World Cup Championship, Chicago Bandits Pro Softball, Sears Centre Arena Events, Monday Night RAW Wrestlemania, Chicago Force Women’s Tackle Football, Ninth Pan Am Maccabi games, USA Baseball and the “Care For Children” non-profit organization treating refugees in Bosnia.
