Gimme 5: L-W West Soccer Youngster a True Warrior
Sophomore Cori Brennan runs through every ball, is determined to be successful and is off to a flying start at Lincoln-Way West.
It didn’t take Cori Brennan long to be a difference-maker on the soccer field for Lincoln-Way West. As a freshman a season ago, she scored 14 goals and had eight assists. This season, she scored 17 goals and had a pair of an assists for a Warriors team which finished 8-11-1.
“Cori has consistently provided us with a spark and is a constant threat to score on the field at any time,” Lincoln-Way West coach Jeff Theiss said. “She demonstrates an unbelievable work ethic and possesses speed that is undeniably on another level."
Brennan has remained humble with her success and is gracious to her teammates, while also taking on a leadership roll even though she’s an underclassmen.
