On Wednesday, April 24, New Lenox Girl Scouts particpated in their annual Bridging Ceremony where scouts moving up to the next level are honored. Daisies, Brownies, Cadettes, Juniors, Seniors and Ambassadors crossed the stage and the "bridge" to the next level of scouting. Girls ranging from first grade to Seniors in high school were in attendance. This year was extra special because thirty four Ambassadors (high school seniors) bridged to Adults. Many of these thirty four girls have been involved with Girl Scouts since Kindergarten. Each troop leader spoke of their experience leading these girls, and praised them for their accomplishments in scouts, school, and their community. A few of the girls also spoke and emphasized the positive impact Girl Scouts has made in their life. Families and younger scouts watched as one by one these incredible young ladies walked over the bridge ready to take on their next challenge with confidence and determination. Congrats!
