Girl Scout Troop 266 Earns Bronze Award

Girls donate to Guardian Angel Community Services

Junior Girl Scout Troop 266 recently earned the Bronze Award by donating a bookshelf and hundreds of books to the Guardian Angel Community Services in Joliet. The Bronze Award is given when the Scouts create a Take Action Project based on their observations of a local issue. The girls were responsible for creating a flyer then distributing it to neighbors and family. They collected books from donors and cleaned and sorted them. The girls then painted a bookshelf and decorated the shelves with duct tape. On Monday, March 13, 2017, the scouts completed the Bronze Award when they delivered the bookshelf with the collected books, and set it up at the Guardian Angels Community Services in Joliet. Below is a picture of the completed bookshelf and Troop 266.
