Girl Scouts Honor New Lenox Police Department

New Lenox Girl Scout Troop 129 completed their Silver Award honoring the New Lenox Police Department. The girls designed and crafted photo frames for the officers' lockers, assembled candy survival kits, installed quotes in both locker rooms, baked treats for their break room, and collected hundreds of thank you cards written by the community. Due to the negative publicity towards law enforcement lately, the girls wanted to show the officers that they are appreciated and the community is behind them.
