Giving Sight this #GivingTuesday

NEW LENOX, NOVEMBER 19, 2018 – This #GivingTuesday, Tuesday, November 27th, VER International will celebrate giving by bringing the gift of sight to children and adults in communities of Peru and Nicaragua. Many in these communities have never been seen or treated by optometrists or ophthalmologists, and their lives are dramatically improved by our sight restoration services. VER International was founded in memory of New Lenox resident, Robert Martin.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.

VER International joined the #GivingTuesday campaign because of the enormous good it provides globally. Donations of any size aggregate into providing vital services and acts of kindness to underserved communities. The levels of creativity, volunteerism, effort, and the quality of the new ideas people have contributed and shared are phenomenal.
