Gobbler Gauntlet 5k Planned In New Lenox
The race will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 23 at Sanctuary Golf Course and is for racers ages 7 and over.
NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Community Park District will its Gobbler Gauntlet 5k Nov. 23. The race will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at Sanctuary Golf Course, 485 Marley Road, and is for racers ages 7 and over.
The race/walk route is mostly flat with a few hills, the park district said. There will be a water station and an electronically-timed finish line. All runners will receive one complimentary drink in the clubhouse after finishing the race.
There will be medals awarded to the first and second place finishers in each age category. The park district said proceeds benefit the park district's scholarship program.

It is $30 before Nov. 19, and $40 on race day. You can register and find packet information online.
