The Guys Who Gave Us Rock! The 50's & 60's Stories by SKIP GRIPARIS

Friday, March 27th at 7:30pm at the Joliet Area Historical Museum

History was never so fun! Says Skip, “It’s so cool for the audience to experience how Rock began and evolved!” With his remarkable 3 1/2-octave chameleon voice, dynamic guitar and keen insight, he takes us on a ride from Hank Williams & Muddy Waters to Elvis & Buddy Holly, to the Beatles, Temptations and many more! This is a full two hour don’t-miss show with an intermission and features special guest Gina Knight on drums.

Skip has traveled the world with his many talents, from his role as Bob Uecker’s partner “Monte the Colorman” in Major League 1 and Major League 2 movies, Guitarist in Olivia Newton-John’s band, Lead singer/guitarist in The New Colony Six band, Headlining Comic across the USA, and appeared with world-class acts such as The Beach Boys, Billy Joel, Little Richard, John Travolta, Glen Campbell, and many more!

Special admission price of just $14.00 or $12.00 for Museum Members & Students. Admission includes free access to the Museum exhibits & galleries. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase (coffee & light appetizers are complimentary).

Advance registration encouraged as space is limited. Museum located in downtown Joliet at 204 N. Ottawa St. 60432. Free parking less than a block away at Webster & Ottawa St.
