Do you eat ham on Easter Sunday? More New Lenox residents probably do than the average.

For many, ham is an Easter mainstay. And while we might not dig the pig as much as some other nearby communities, New Lenox residents spend more money on ham than the average Chicago-area town.

That's according to Crain's Chicago Business, which often does some cool community profile "Market Facts," which we like to link to because they often answer vital questions such as Which communities obsess over the NCAA Tournament? or Which ones eat more fast-food lunches?

(OK, it looks at other pertinent information like Hispanic population and bachelor degree rate of residents, too.) But in case you're wondering, New Lenox residents love the NCAA Tournament and likely ate fast-food lunches during the games, at least according to Market Facts.

Crain's looked at which Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs spend the most money on ham, and New Lenox rates slightly above average. We buy more ham than Elwood, Manhattan and Mokena, but Frankfort and Homer Glen spend more than New Lenox.
