August 4th was the day that changed my life forever. This is my mom Yvonne. She is a loving 39 year old single mother of four who had suffered from a stroke 7 months ago. From the stroke, my mom has paralysis on her right side and cant do much on her own. My younger siblings and I are the ones that have to take care of her because she cannot afford a care giver and we also had lost our house while she was in the hospital for a few months. My moms goal is to be able to walk again but for that to happen she has to have physical therapy. But you see the thing is is that her insurance isnt paying for any more physical therapy because it is maxed out and she cannot afford it on her own. My mom also needs medical equipment so that we can work on her physical therapy at home and she needs a handicap van for her transportation. The estimated total for all of this is going to be around $100k.I know that my mom is not the only one who is going through this right now but this goal of my moms is very important to me and my younger siblings.
