IF LW 210 Board VOTES TO CLOSE A HIGH SCHOOL PLEASE VOTE OPTION A TO KEEP OUR FEEDER SCHOOLS TOGETHER!
Option A

ATTENTION LW 210 BOARD MEMBERS!
We ask the LW 210 Board of Education to vote OPTION A - keeping our communities and our children together as one - as they enter high school. We, the parents/community of 157C/and other Lincoln-way community School Districts have hand-selected the communities within our school districts to raise our families. We have taken on tax burdens for the good of our children and the promise of a secure educational path within our communities. We believe Option B (redrawing boundaries and channeling some students from within a particular middle school or junior high school away from his/her classmates) is an UNACCEPTABLE solution. Option B will not only fracture our communities, but will also subject our children to unnecessary challenges. Separating students and communities of children who have grown together since grade school at a time when they are MOST socially and emotionally impressionable is simply not the most responsible solution.
Simply put, OPTION B does not make our children/students nor their educational, social and emotional well-being a top priority. WE ARE IN FULL SUPPORT OF OPTION A. We are families who recognize the value of community in education. We understand a student’s emotional and social well-being directly impacts his/her ability to learn and excel. Please vote Option A and give our children the BEST chance for succeeding academically as they transition from middle school/junior high school, to high school.
