Jeep Stolen After Man Left it Running at New Lenox Gas Station
The Jeep Cherokee was found later on at Jacob Lowell Park.
An opportunistic car thief stole a Jeep Cherokee when its driver left it running at a New Lenox service station.
A New Lenox police officer was sent to the Speedway on South Cedar Road to investigate the Wednesday afternoon theft.
“The complainant advised that he left his vehicle running with the keys in it and went inside the (Speedway),” police said. “An unknown person took his 1999 Jeep Cherokee.”
