Joey's Red Hots Plans March Opening
The village said the business is tentatively planning a mid-March opening.
NEW LENOX, IL —New Lenox residents only have a few more weeks to wait until they will be able to eat at the long-awaited Joey's Red Hots. The village said the business is tentatively planning a mid-March opening.
The business will also plan a grand opening at a later date.
At its Feb. 24 meeting, the village board granted some final special use permits for Joey's Red Hots for a second wall sign as well as an outdoor patio.

Community Development Director Robin Ellis said the outdoor patio could seat about 20 people. Planters and a fence will also be installed around the patio.
"We're looking forward to having you in the community, a lot of people are," Mayor Tim Baldermann said at the meeting. "We're excited."

Joey's Red Hots will be located in the Rock Island Station shopping center at 217 E. Maple.
