Joliet Man Emailed Nude Photos to New Lenox Girl: Cops

A Joliet man arrested Wednesday on child pornography and other sex charges emailed naked photos of himself to a New Lenox girl, and encouraged her to send one in return, New Lenox police said Thursday.

Deshaunell Knight, 24, was booked into the Will County jail on charges of distributing harmful material, grooming and the indecent solicitation of a child via the Internet, in addition to child pornography. Deputy Chief Robert Pawlisz said police were notified Aug. 5 that Knight and the girl had exchanged several emails.

An investigation confirmed that Knight had sent the girl a picture of his genitals and he had received nude photos in return. An arrest warrant was issued, and Knight was taken into custody and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
