  • Tuesday, July 24th, 5 to 7 p.m.

Meet teachers, administrators, school board members, parents and students at the Summer Open House events! They will be held at JMS, 1600 Root Street in Crest Hill, near where Larkin becomes Weber Road. No RSVP is required.

The Montessori Method and the JMS Difference

For more than a century, the Montessori method of education has unlocked the potential of children by giving them intuitive tools to learn, and the freedom to explore their academic interests under the helpful direction of certified Montessori educators. Children in the Montessori system are taught the values of self-reliance, self-discipline and self-directed study, giving them a lifetime love of learning in all its forms.

JMS has been a fixture in the Joliet area for more than 50 years and is the only Montessori school in Will County to hold certifications from both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). JMS is also the only such institution in the area with a curriculum for students ranging from 18 months to the ninth grade, delivering the long-term benefits of Montessori education that prepare graduates for the rigors of high school and college.
