Joliet Montessori School sets Open House for May 24

Joliet Montessori School (JMS) has slated the annual spring Open House event for the evening of Wednesday, May 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The school is located at 1600 Root Street, Crest Hill, at the intersection of Root and Weber Road, where Larkin turns into Weber.

During the evening, local families are welcome to tour the school, learn about its programs and get to know the Montessori method of education. Teachers will be on hand to show families around and describe a typical day in the classroom. Administrators will also be available to explain the school’s dual certifications from both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).

JMS is the only Montessori school in Will County with this dual certification. It is also one of the few in the state of Illinois to offer a complete program for all ages, from preschool through the 9th grade. Facilities for all grade levels will be open for tours during the Open House.
