Lincoln Station Apartments the Focus of Town Hall Meeting
Developers of the controversial apartment plan will field questions and provide information.

New Lenox residents with concerns or questions about the proposed Lincoln Station apartment complex are asked to attend a town hall meeting set for Wednesday at 7 p.m., at Village Hall.
Mayor Tim Baldermann hopes the meeting will address rumors and concerns, and provide accurate, factual information about the 313-apartment project.
The complex—designed by New Lenox Development Co.—would include several buildings of one- and two-bedroom units, built east of the Metra Rock Island Line parking lot and north of the fire station near U.S. 30 and Church Street. The plan met resistance from the board and last fall, with objections including concerns about parking and housing density. The developer initially asked for zoning variances on parking, building height, building material and property line setbacks, but Baldermann has since said they have acquiesced to proceeding without the variances.
