Lincoln-Way 210 Offers Preschool Registration

The program is sponsored by the Family and Consumer Sciences Early Childhood Education classes, who help run the program.

NEW LENOX, IL — Registration for Lincoln-Way High School 2021-2022 preschool programs sponsored by the Family and Consumer Sciences Early Childhood Education classes will open on Feb. 1 and run through Feb. 5, according to a release from the district. You can apply for the program online.

Children must be three years old by Sept. 1, 2021, toilet trained, and reside within the district to be eligible, the district said. Parents must complete the online registrations; no telephone registrations will be accepted.

A total of 16 children, ages 3 to 5, will be selected to attend a morning session for each of the locations. According to the district, Lincoln-Way West and East preschools will meet Wednesdays and Thursdays from October through January. The Lincoln-Way Central Preschool will meet Wednesdays and Fridays from October through January. Lincoln-Way West and East programs continue Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from February through May, while Lincoln-Way Central will be held, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Fees are $35 per month or $280 per year, the district said. A nonrefundable deposit of $70 will be required from those selected for the program and will be applied to the first two months of preschool.

The district said this program gives Early Childhood Education students an opportunity to work with children in a preschool environment under the full-time supervision of a Family and Consumer Sciences instructor.
