Lincoln-Way Central Cross Country Teams Head To State Finals
Both the girls and boys teams will head to the state finals Nov. 9.
NEW LENOX, IL — Both the girls and boys country country teams at Lincoln-Way Central have qualified for the IHSA Class 3A state finals.
The boys are coached by head coach John Taylor and assistant coaches Roy White and Ben Zibricky. The team headed to state consists of: seniors Lucas Dion, Erik Johnson, Jared Kreis; junior Jay Parker; sophomores Andrew Flais, Ryan Flais, Caden Simone, Jack Starklauf; freshmen Ethan Hoff, Ross Horn, Kurt Kreis, Connor LeBeau, Nolan Sams and Devin Smith.
The girls are coached by head coach Ryan Stapinski and assistant coaches Rebecca Cherry and Tom Gavin. The team headed to state consists of: seniors Mary Farhat, Rachel Baumgartner, Lexy Sams; juniors Merrigan Allen, Colleen Erdman, Catherine Ihrke, Carly Shipman; sophomore Grace Eenigenburg, freshmen Sofia Coglianese, Ella Maldonado, Shea Martin, Ceci Nelson, Emma Olson and Ava Paoletti.

The boys and girls cross country state finals meet will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
