Lincoln-Way Central Flower Sale To Benefit District 210's Transition Program
The May 9 sale benefits the Transition program for special services students that focuses on job readiness and transitioning out of school.

NEW LENOX, IL — A flower and plant sale set for Saturday, May 9 at Lincoln-Way Central's greenhouse will benefit the district's Transition program.
The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the greenhouse, 1801 E. Lincoln Highway. The greenhouse is located off Schoolhouse Road, north of Lincoln Highway.
Plants available will include: geraniums, impatiens, petunias, dianthus, zinnia, marigolds, gazania, ageratum and portulaca. Potted vegetables for sale will include grape and big boy tomatoes, as well as bell peppers. Potted plants offered will include wandering dude, spider plants and citronella plants.

The Transition program is a district-wide program for special services students ages 18-22 that focuses on job readiness and transitioning out of school. Students within the program help to plant and care for everything in the greenhouse, as well as assisting with the sale, said Director of Community Relations Jennifer Vujosevic.
