Lincoln-Way Central Hosts Fall Signing Day

NEW LENOX, IL — Nine student athletes participated in the annual fall signing day at Lincoln-Way Central.

“This is a very exciting time for each of these athletes. You will start a new chapter in each one of your lives, you are finally finished with the school visits, coach’s phone calls, and the whole recruiting process altogether, but most of the excitement comes from knowing all of the long hours on and off the playing field have paid off,” Jason Helbling, interim athletic director, said in a release.

The Lincoln-Way Central students who will play their respective sport at the collegiate level are:

• Jared Kreis- Duke University- Cross country and track
• Erik Johnson- University of Wisconsin-Parkside- Cross country and track
• Madi Jager- Southern Illinois University- Swimming
• Kiana Sikich- University of St. Francis- Tennis
• Katie Barry- University of Wisconsin La Crosse- Volleyball
• Regan LoConte- Quincy University- Basketball
• Harrison Dubois- Indiana Wesleyan University- Baseball
• Liam Higgins- University of St. Francis- Baseball
• Johnny McGuire- University of St. Francis- Baseball
