Lincoln-Way D210 To Implement Full Remote Learning

The district will implement full remote learning starting Aug. 31, with the intent to move to blended learning on Sept. 21.

NEW LENOX, IL — Lincoln-Way District 210 will implement full remote learning from Aug. 31 to Sept. 18. At an emergency board meeting on Tuesday, the board of education voted to implement remote learning until Sept. 18 with the intent to move to blended learning on Sept. 21.

"We understand this has been a stressful time for the entire community, and this decision did not come lightly," Superintendent R. Scott Tingley said in a letter to the community. "We know that remote learning cannot replace face-to-face, in-person learning between students and their teachers, and we are committed to providing an academically challenging, supportive experience for all students.

From Aug. 24 to Aug. 28, the district will bring in about 25 percent of students in the building each day. Tingley said students will follow a modified schedule to meeting their teachers and get materials for remote learning.
