Lincoln-Way Musicians To Perform At All-State Concert
The concert is made up of 1,500 selected musicians representing over 300 schools across Illinois.
NEW LENOX, IL — Thirteen Lincoln-Way students have been selected to perform at the Illinois Music Education Association’s All-State concert Feb. 1 in Peoria. The district said the concert is made up of 1,500 selected musicians representing over 300 schools across Illinois.
Students were selected through an audition process as a representation of the best musicians in each of the nine Illinois Music Education Association districts. The district said students and their directors will attend the 2020 Illinois Music Education Conference Jan. 29-Feb. 1.
Students rehearse with other musicians from all over the state in Honors and All-State Band, Honors and All-State Orchestra, Honors and All-State Chorus, Honors and All- State Vocal Jazz, and Honors and All-State Jazz Band, the district said.
