Lincoln-Way Student Art Displayed In Exhibits

NEW LENOX, IL — Lincoln-Way students' artwork will be on display in several communities in the coming weeks. 15 Lincoln-Way students will have their art included in the high school art exhibit at Joliet Junior College, the district said. The exhibit is open Nov. 1 to Dec. 9 at the Laura Sprague Art Gallery in Building J.

Students who have art in the exhibit are:

Lincoln-Way Central: Sarah Marousek, Emily Lane, Amber Jaskula, Melanie Piunti, Jaclyn Duske

Lincoln-Way East: Jessica Selph, Angela Farkic, Rebekah Krooswyk, Emily Jacob, Paige Cook

Lincoln-Way West: Jenna Davis, Courtney Kurtz, Ricky Saxour, Olivia Rusch, Cheyanne Montano

“The JJC High School Exhibition is always a great display of extremely talented student artists from the area. We love being involved in the show and are very proud of the Lincoln-Way students whose work has been included this year,”Phil Labriola, District Art Department Chair, said in a release.

Lincoln-Way students will also have their art showcases from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30 at the high school fine art exhibit at Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park, the district said. 87 students will have their work exhibited.

"The Vogt High School Exhibition is a great show that allows us to recognize the hard work and talents of our students,” Labriola said.
