Lincoln-Way Students Take Top Honors in Science Conference Meet
Students from all four schools finished strong in the 15-school meet.
Lincoln-Way Central hosted the Southwest Suburban School Conference Science meet recently with 250 students from 15 area schools participating. Students from each of the four Lincoln-Way High School District 210 high schools took top honors, placing in several categories.
“Lincoln-Way students enjoy putting their ingenuity and scientific knowledge to the test in this hands-on competition,” said Ruby Brouzas, Lincoln-Way Central Science Club Sponsor, adding that Central had a record 42 students participate. “I commend our students for standing out among their peers from high schools across the region.”
Other administrators and faculty who helped coordinate the science competition include Alex Petrakis, Central Associate Principal; Dustin Waddell, Central Activities and Asset Coordinator; Jeannine Prucha, Central Associate Principal; and Dr. Sarah Highfill, Central Science Department Chair.
